Briggs and Stratton ZZ petrol stationary engine 1940's for restoration project
This is a Briggs and stratton ZZ from approx 1940's... Bought it thinking it was a Villiers, but the spark plug hole is in the wrong place, and the tinware is tin, not ali, so... Turns over, and someone's changed the fuel pipes, with new filter, and new guvnor rod.... It's looking good so far.
No spark plug, and no idea what plug it needs, looks interesting. Tried turning it, no spark. Looking at the HT lead.... It needs some attention to the ignition electrics.
Petrol tank has a cap from something else! The cap says "use brake fluid" so pretty sure that's wrong. I can;t unscrew it by hand either. If you can't lift that much, bring a friend who can, or a trolley.
