Collection only, but I will be driving from Wales SA33 to Hertfordshire AL5 on the 6th of November if that helps get the mower near enough for you to collect. MASPORT Bought this mower second hand and really wanted to get it working - as it has an aluminium deck and I'm tired of my steel decked mowers never lasting. It had a cracked oil sump, so I replaced that and put everything back together.

Got it started and cut 2 rows with it, then when I stop the engine and move to the next section of grass to be cut cannot get it started. When pull starting it, it yanks the pull rope out of my hand. The flywheel key is not sheared, but I think the flywheel is not seating properly on the crankshaft at the taper end. Having checked the crankshaft, it appears bent. Decided to look for a second hand engine. ATCO Bought this to use the engine off it on the Masport. Just saying to give an indication of its running state. Anyhow, I swopped out the engines, but realised the throttle cable for the ATCO engine goes into the drive gear but the throttle cable for the MASPORT went onto an engine control bracket next to the carburettor. Also, the MASPORT engine control bracket has an earth / kill wire running to the ignition coil on the flywheel. As such, had to put the MASPORT engine control bracket onto the ATCO engine and run its wire to the ignition coil. I then found out the ATCO engine has a 7/8" output crank vs the 1" output crank on the MASPORT. Just one thing after the other, so I'm finally throwing in the towel. This could be a project for someone who fixes lawnmowers every day - maybe just putting in a new crankshaft might be all it takes? BTW - there is an extra ATCO multiclip blade in addition to the one that came with the machine. These blades alone are pretty expensive. NO POSTING but could deliver between Wales and M25 - see below. This is collection only - I live in Wales - SA33.
