VIKING GB370 CHIPPER BRIGGS & STRATTON 6.5HP INTEK OHV PETROL GWO NORTH DEVON This was bought new around 2006 for a garden services business, but it was only required a couple of times for that. It has been used a few times a year to chip up branches to cover paths with woodchips for home use, so it hasn't done that much work overall. It has lived under a silage bag and dumpy bag outside in a wood so looks a bit scruffy, and once it was blown over in a gale which is why the plastic cowling is cracked.

It starts easily and runs well. It works well for small branches left over after the firewood timber from a tree has been taken, but it isn't like the powerful trailer chippers where you can drop in big chunks and they spray out chips from a spout.

It has a 6.5HP Briggs and Stratton OHV 4 stroke petrol engine and is started by pull cord. There is a single control lever on the back, push it fully down to start with choke, raise to the middle area to run which also allows variable throttle speed control setting, the carburetor has a constant speed governor linkage, fully up to stop. Collection from near Lynton, North Devon, it would probably fit in the back of most 4x4's as the feed chute can be easily removed.
